Mary Phan, M.S.

Clinical Psychology Extern

Mary is a doctoral student in school psychology at Utah State University and a research fellow at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her primary interest is in using mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) with marginalized youth as well as promoting racial equity through policy changes. MBIs are financially low-cost, and once learned, can be practiced anytime and anywhere, making them a flexible and feasible approach with diverse populations. She has experience working with parents, young adults, adolescents, and young children in clinical settings. Ultimately, she hopes to impact policy within schools to improve mental health outcomes for marginalized youth. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching anime, and playing video games.
