Ashley Greenwell, Ph.D.

Trauma, Stress, and Resilience Program Director

Dr. Ashley Greenwell is a licensed psychologist and Director of the Trauma, Stress, and Resilience Program at UCEBT. She began her undergraduate training at the University of Washington, studying under Dr. Marsha Linehan, the developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She earned her doctorate from the University of California-Santa Barbara where she conducted research on the impact of trauma and substance abuse. Afterward, she relocated to Boston for her internship at the National Center for PTSD. She then trained at the SLC VA during her postdoctoral fellowship and went on to serve as a PTSD and Post-Deployment Psychologist.

Now at UCEBT, Dr. Greenwell is committed to providing specialized care for First Responders, Military Personnel, Law Enforcement, Healthcare Providers, and others at increased risk for compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious traumatization. She enjoys conducting professional trainings, program development, and consulting on performance-related issues for complex, challenging professions. Dr. Greenwell is currently supervising PhD students and holds academic appointments at the University of Utah in the Educational and Clinical Psychology Departments.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (Transdiagnostic)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD
  • Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)

New Referrals

Dr. Greenwell is accepting new referrals; however, currently has an estimated waitlist of 1-3 months. New clients that are interested in being seen may schedule a free consult with Dr. Greenwell to decide whether to be added to her waitlist or to receive recommendations for other community referral options. She also closely supervises several highly trained pre-doctoral therapists who have sooner availability. She currently accepts the following insurances: Bishop Pay, and can provide statements for out-of-network reimbursement of other insurance companies.
