Michelle Ertl, PsyD is a licensed psychologist at UCEBT, specializing in the treatment of trauma-related disorders. She received her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Indiana State University where she focused on the treatment of PTSD and the experiences of caregivers. Michelle completed her APA approved pre-doctoral internship at the James H. Quillen Veteran’s Affairs Hospital where she gained experience in the treatment of PTSD, substance abuse, and couples therapy. She received further specialized training while completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Salt Lake City Veteran’s Affairs hospital, working in the PTSD clinic to address a variety of issues, including the processing of trauma, experiences of sexual assault, and working through feelings of guilt and shame. Michelle has received specialized training in a variety of treatment modalities, including EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. In therapy, Michelle attempts to bring her knowledge of research-based interventions to best collaborate with clients in a way that meets their individual needs. She strives to build connections with clients that allow them to make meaningful change in their lives. Currently, Michelle is accepting referrals for individual therapy with adult clients.
