Sarah E. Turley, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Sarah E. Turley is a licensed psychologist on staff with UCEBT. She began her undergraduate training at Arizona State University. She earned her graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale studying health psychology, career counseling, and industrial/organizational psychology. She completed an internship at the Long Beach VA Healthcare System, which was the beginning of a rewarding VA career treating veterans and training future psychologists. She most recently was the Director of Training for Psychology at the Salt Lake City VA Healthcare System, Senior Ethicist, and national faculty for VA Ethics on a national end-of-life initiative. Now at UCEBT, Dr. Turley is committed to providing high-quality healthcare for the community. Dr. Turley holds an academic appointment with University of Utah in Counseling Psychology teaching M.A. and Ph.D students.

Treatment Expertise

Dr. Turley has expertise in several domains:

  • Counseling Psychology – depression, anxiety, relationships, transitions, and grief.
  • Health Psychology - chronic conditions, life-limiting conditions, rehabilitation, amputations, infertility and pregnancy-related issues, and end-of-life. She also sees healthcare providers
  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology – individual career counseling, career coaching, systems redesign, consultation with systems for improved performance and employee well-being

    Sarah also has formal training for the following psychotherapies: Acceptance and Commitment Training, Chronic Pain, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
