Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Jennifer Jensen is a postdoctoral fellow at UCEBT specializing in treatment of adults recovering from trauma or learning to regulate emotions and relationships. She comes to UCEBT with a broad background of working with adults, adolescents, and children to understand and regulate emotions, develop coping skills, and relate to themselves and their world in a more compassionate and helpful way. Jennifercompleted her APA-approved clinical internship at the Salt Lake City Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, focusing on evidence-based treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and co-occurring conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. Jennifer completed her graduate training in Clinical Psychology at Brigham Young University. Her dissertation research focused on using Compassion Focused Therapy to help individuals struggling with self-criticism, shame, and perfectionism. Jennifer has also received specialized training in a variety of treatment approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindful Self-Compassion. In therapy, Jennifer focuses on creating a collaborative environment with her clients to work towards their goals and values using evidence-based interventions.
