UCEBT is committed to increasing access to effective, affordable mental health care. To this end, we are excited to introduce our sliding scale psychotherapy clinic.
Please note that these sliding scale services are not reimbursable by your insurance provider and applies to therapy only (not testing services).
After discussing your specific financial circumstances and the completion of our application, we will work collaboratively to provide options for adjusting our rates.
For therapy services, sliding scale rates are based on your household income and is only offered with clinicians who are not yet licensed. However, in addition to having years of training and education, these clinicians are also under the close supervision of licensed clinicians.
For assessment and testing services, we do not offer an income-based sliding scale; however, our trainees offer a lower rate than licensed clinicians.
These services are provided by advanced doctoral students, who have earned their Masters degrees and are currently under the close supervision of licensed psychologists.
For household incomes:
$40,999.99 or less: $65 / 45-minute appointment
$41,000-60,999.99: $75 / 45-minute appointment
$61,000-80,999.99: $100 / 45-minute appointment
More than $81,000: $155 / 45-minute appointment (not eligible for sliding scale, full rate only)
These services are provided by psychologists who have earned their Doctoral degrees but who are not yet licensed. They are under the close supervision of licensed psychologists.
For household incomes:
$40,999.99 or less: $120 / 45-minute appointment
$41,000-60,999.99: $145 / 45-minute appointment
$61,000-80,999.99: $165 / 45-minute appointment
More than $81,000: $195 / 45-minute appointment (not eligible for sliding scale, full rate only)
Postdoctoral Fellows and Advanced Doctoral Students are closely supervised by Licensed Clinicians and have had years of training and experience.
Clinician services are billed as follows:
Licensed Clinician: $210 per hour
Postdoctoral Fellow: $190 per hour
Advanced Doctoral Student: $150 per hour
