Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are complex conditions impacting self-image and relationships with food. UCEBT offers compassionate, evidence-based care to help clients develop a healthier relationship with food and themselves.

Common Symptoms

  • Obsessive focus on weight, body image, or food
  • Restrictive eating, binging, or purging behaviors
  • Preoccupation with exercise

Treatment Approach

Our approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), helping clients understand their relationship with food and develop healthier patterns. Additionally, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is evidence-based for eating disorders, too, but when the primary function of the disorder is over-control, then RO-DBT is the better fit.
