Financial Scholarship

Who can apply? 

Everyone is welcome to apply – current clients and new clients alike.  

When are applications due?  

Applications closed on June 16, 2025. We are not receiving applications at this time. To be notified when applications are open again, please join our email newsletter for general UCEBT news.

What can the scholarship be used for?  

The scholarship can be used for any of our services at UCEBT, according to best fit. This could be:  

• Up to 12 sessions of psychotherapy (individual, couples, or family) at $25/session*  

• Assessment and testing (up to 13 hours) at $20/hour  

• DBT coaching package, including intake, group therapy, phone coaching, and one round of skills at $20/session  

*Please note that we may be able to offer more sessions or have a lower cost per session, depending on availability of scholarship funds.  

How will applicants be selected to receive a scholarship?  

Applicants will be reviewed by our clinical directorship and evaluated based on:  

• Financial need  

• Lack of access to care  

• Appropriate fit  

*Applicants will not be evaluated based on sex, religion, ethnic background, race or national origin, or by any other protected class.  

How will I be notified of the result of my application?  

We will send an email to notify you of the result prior to July 14, 2025. 

How long will I have to use the funds, if selected?  

You will have 6 months to use the services offered before the remaining funds are forfeited.  

What is the no show policy?  

If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not show for an appointment, you will still be charged your normal copay, and it will count against your total services. 

What if I don’t need the full amount offered?  

Any unused scholarship funds will be returned to the center’s budget for other scholarship awardees.  

What happens if I’m not selected?  

While we wish we could provide this scholarship to everyone in need, we are unfortunately very limited in these funds at this time, so we have to make some tough decisions. If you have applied for the scholarship and are not selected, we will provide you with alternative resources for you to consider. 

Can I reapply next year?  

If you are not selected, you can submit another application next year. However, if you are selected, you will be ineligible to receive it a second time.
