Autism & ADHD Evaluations

What We Offer

In addition to ADHD and our other assessment and testing services, UCEBT provides Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluations for individuals aged 2 through adulthood as part of our comprehensive assessment services.

These evaluations can be included in psychoeducational assessments if ASD is suspected to impact academic functioning. However, ASD is a pervasive neurodevelopmental condition that affects many areas of life beyond academics, and not all individuals with ASD face academic challenges.

Many adults seek evaluations to explore whether they have undiagnosed ASD, particularly in high-functioning presentations. Our autism assessments use evidence-based procedures to determine if ASD criteria are met, while also addressing co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, social anxiety, or OCD. Academic testing is included when relevant to the individual’s needs.

Our autism testing is not exclusively for children.

ADHD and ASD can be diagnosed in adulthood and may explain chronic challenges such as difficulties with work, daily tasks, relationships, and maintaining obligations. Many adults come to us frustrated by past diagnoses of mood, anxiety, or personality disorders and treatments that have not resolved their struggles.

Our assessments use evidence-based methods to evaluate cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional symptoms, tailored to how neurodevelopmental disorders manifest in adults.

Since ADHD and ASD criteria require symptoms to have been present in childhood, we include parent or caregiver interviews, past testing, and school records as part of the evaluation process.

New for 2025: We are now able to provide adult Autism evaluations via telehealth in over 40 states!

Collaborative Expertise and High-Quality Assessments

Our collaborative approach ensures every case is grounded in data and benefits from collective expertise. We stay current with research, consult with community professionals, and continually refine our methods to provide the highest quality assessments.

Gold-Standard Tools for Autism Assessments

Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2)

We utilize the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), recognized as the gold standard for autism evaluations. Often required by insurance companies for accessing services like speech or occupational therapy, the ADOS-2 is just one part of our comprehensive approach.

Our clinicians incorporate multiple measures and gather information from various settings to deliver thorough, evidence-based assessments.

Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition (MIGDAS-2)

In addition to the ADOS-2, many of our clinicians are trained in using the Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition (MIGDAS-2). The MIGDAS-2 has an extensive research base for delineating autistic and neurotypical behaviors.

The neuroaffirming languages focuses on strengths and traits unique to autism and how to best describe a persons profile regarding sensory processing, interests, communication, emotion regulation, and relationships.
