At UCEBT, we are committed to providing a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Our therapies focus on building resilience, empowering clients to harness their strengths, and supporting them in navigating life’s challenges.
Below is an overview of the treatment modalities we offer, each backed by rigorous research and designed to promote lasting growth and positive change.
ACT helps clients develop psychological flexibility, focusing on accepting difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding them. Through ACT, clients learn to live according to their values and build a fulfilling life despite challenges.
CBT is a widely used therapy that addresses unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. By identifying and changing negative thought patterns, clients gain tools to manage symptoms and make positive changes in their lives.
CBT-I is a specialized form of CBT aimed at treating insomnia. It involves restructuring sleep-related thoughts and behaviors to improve sleep quality and establish healthy sleep patterns.
Originally developed for individuals with intense emotions, DBT teaches skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. DBT is effective for conditions like BPD and emotional dysregulation.
EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that helps clients process distressing memories through eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. EMDR is particularly beneficial for clients with PTSD.
Exposure Therapy is used to reduce anxiety and avoidance behaviors. By gradually facing feared situations in a safe environment, clients build confidence and lessen their fear response over time.
Gottman Therapy is a structured approach to couples therapy that focuses on improving communication, building trust, and increasing relationship satisfaction. It is grounded in research on what makes relationships succeed.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself, such as the Inner Critic or Protector, while connecting with your core, calm Self. IFS fosters self-compassion, promotes inner harmony, and is especially effective for addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is designed to help clients improve their relationships and social functioning. By addressing interpersonal issues, clients can build healthier connections and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered approach that helps clients overcome ambivalence about change. It is particularly effective for those working to address substance use, lifestyle changes, or treatment adherence.
PCIT is an evidence-based program that enhances the parent-child relationship by teaching positive communication and effective discipline techniques. It is particularly helpful for young children with behavioral issues.
Prolonged Exposure is a trauma-focused therapy that involves repeatedly discussing traumatic memories in a controlled setting. PE helps reduce PTSD symptoms by enabling clients to process and integrate these memories.
RO-DBT is an adaptation of DBT tailored for individuals with overcontrolled tendencies, such as those with chronic depression or certain personality disorders. It encourages emotional openness and flexibility.
Sex Therapy addresses concerns related to intimacy, sexual function, and relationship satisfaction. Our clinicians provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore and work through these issues.
WET is a structured, short-term therapy for PTSD that involves writing about traumatic experiences. This approach helps clients process memories and reduce the intensity of symptoms, often in just a few sessions.
