Our clinicians work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, grief, reproductive loss, PMDD, and other emotional challenges related to pregnancy, childbirth, fertility, and the transition to parenthood.
Whether you’re navigating intrusive thoughts, persistent worry, overwhelming sadness, difficulties adjusting to parenthood, or the emotional impact of infertility or pregnancy loss, our goal is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing and provide effective, compassionate treatment that supports healing.
We provide treatment for perinatal mental health both via telehealth and in-person at our office in Salt Lake City, Utah and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Common Questions About Reproductive Mental Health
Adjusting to pregnancy and new parenthood often includes emotional ups and downs. Many people experience fatigue, worry, feeling overwhelmed, or mood changes as they adapt to caring for a newborn.
However, if those feelings become more intense, last longer than expected, or begin interfering with your relationships, daily life, or ability to care for yourself or your baby, it may be a sign of a treatable perinatal mental health condition. UCEBT’s clinicians can help you understand what you’re experiencing and recommend evidence-based treatment that fits your needs.
Perinatal mental health includes much more than postpartum depression. Some people experience anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), intrusive thoughts, trauma related to pregnancy or childbirth, grief after miscarriage or pregnancy loss, infertility-related distress, reproductive trauma, PMDD, or difficulty adjusting to parenthood. Because these conditions can share similar symptoms, a comprehensive evaluation can help determine the most appropriate treatment.
You don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis to seek support. Therapy may be helpful if you’re experiencing persistent anxiety, sadness, intrusive thoughts, excessive guilt, difficulty bonding with your baby, overwhelming worry, grief after reproductive loss, or if you simply don’t feel like yourself. UCEBT’s clinicians use evidence-based treatments to help people better understand their experiences, build coping skills, process difficult emotions, and move toward healing.
No. While postpartum depression is one of the better-known perinatal mental health conditions, it is only one part of reproductive mental health. UCEBT provides treatment for a wide range of concerns that can arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period, including anxiety, OCD, trauma, reproductive grief and loss, PMDD, infertility-related distress, birth trauma, suicidal thoughts, and other emotional challenges related to the transition to parenthood.
Yes. Emotional distress related to infertility, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, birth trauma, or other reproductive experiences is a meaningful part of perinatal and reproductive mental health. These experiences can affect mood, relationships, identity, and overall wellbeing. UCEBT’s clinicians provide evidence-based care to help people process grief, trauma, and the emotional impact of reproductive experiences that did not unfold as expected.
Treatment is personalized because every pregnancy and parenting journey is different. Depending on your symptoms and goals, your clinician may use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, trauma-focused therapies, and other interventions supported by research. Your clinician will work with you to develop a treatment plan that addresses your unique concerns and goals.
