Stephanie Taylor, Ph.D.

Post-Doctoral Trainee

Stephanie Taylor, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral resident at the Utah Center for Evidence-Based Treatment (UCEBT). Working with survivors of trauma is her passion. In addition to evidenced-based trauma-informed therapy, she recognizes the significant overlap between mind and body as it relates to trauma and often includes somatic therapies (e.g. yoga) in session as well. She has a background in humanistic/existential therapy and enjoys spiritual exploration from a trauma perspective. She also enjoys therapy that addresses symptoms of anxiety, short-term treatment of depression, and therapy that overall cultivates exploration of spirituality and sexual identity and wellness. Specifically, she has found evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety-related concerns/OCD and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) for depression to be especially helpful therapies that have yielded significantly positive results in individuals' lives.
