UCEBT currently offers the following group therapies where you can find support and learn new skills:
Parent Training Group for Decreasing Children’s Disruptive Behaviors
Starting Saturday, March 9, 2024, Kandice Benallie, PhD will be teaching a 6-week parent training group to support parents and caregivers in decreasing challenging and disruptive behaviors with their children and improving parent-child relationships. $65/week, plus $30 for participant manual ($420 total). Understanding and Coping with Emotional Pain
Starting Thursday, April 4, 2024, Cristina Chévere-Rivera, Psy.D. will be teaching a 8-week virtual group for individuals currently experiencing distress from trauma. This group uses the evidence-based therapy approach Skills Training in Affect and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR) and is geared toward adults who are currently in therapy or who are transitioning out of therapy. $75/week. PEERS® Social Skills Group for Young Adults
Starting end of June 2024, Laura Rowley, Ph.D. will be leading this 16-week, evidence-based social skills group intervention to support interpersonal skills in friendships, workplace relationships, and romantic relationships. PEERS® has been empirically studied and shown effective in populations with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional problems. $75/week. Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Group
In conjunction with our full DBT program, we offer weekly DBT day and evening groups for adolescents, families, and adults, including a group specific to addictions. While our other groups are often open to the public, our DBT groups are only open to existing clients within the full DBT program.
